DLA Governorship Candidates Endorse Tinubu for 2027 Re-election, Rule Out Defection to APC

Governorship candidates of the Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA) have officially endorsed President Bola Tinubu for re-election in 2027, according to reports from Vanguard Nigeria. The DLA, which does not have a presidential candidate, has ruled out any defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). This endorsement comes as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published information about the upcoming 2027 election. The Guardian Nigeria News reported that Tinubu's re-election bid received a significant boost from the DLA governorship candidates' support. The endorsement is seen as a strategic move to consolidate support ahead of the 2027 election. Both sources agree that the DLA governorship candidates have no presidential candidate and have ruled out joining the APC.
