Donald Trump Claims Iran Conflict Near Conclusion, Tehran Seeks US Agreement
Donald Trump asserted that the conflict in Iran is nearing its end, claiming Iran is actively seeking a deal with the United States. His remarks echoed previous failed rhetoric, with no tangible progress reported. The statements were made amid ongoing tensions between the U.S. and Iran.
Trump stated that the conflict in Iran is approaching its conclusion, emphasizing that Tehran is directly contacting the U.S. to reach an agreement. The claim was reported by the Italian outlet 'tuo-i-tre.' The West Australian noted that Trump reiterated the claim that the war with Iran could 'hopefully' soon be ended, echoing his previous rhetoric which did not result in an agreement. The two sources agree on Trump's claim but differ in emphasis, with 'tuo-i-tre' focusing on Tehran's direct outreach and 'the-west-australian' highlighting the lack of progress.
