Trump Bans CNN, Politico, and MS NOW from White House

Donald Trump, then residing at the White House, declared during a press briefing that CNN, Politico, and MS NOW are no longer permitted access to the White House. The announcement was made on September 19, 2026, and was reported by multiple outlets, including CNN, AFP, and the Herald Sun. The ban was described as effective immediately, with no official explanation provided by the administration. The decision sparked immediate backlash from some political figures, including Senator Kelly, who accused Trump of using the ban as a tool to 'intimidate' the media. The sources consistently reported the names of the banned outlets and the timing of the announcement, though none provided detailed justification for the ban. No official statement from the White House clarified the rationale behind the decision. The event marked a significant escalation in the relationship between the Trump administration and major news outlets, raising concerns about press freedom and government transparency. The sources did not diverge on the key facts of the event, though they varied in the timing of their reports.
