Iran Indicates It Has Received Official US Response to Latest Offer on Ending the War

Iran announced on September 30, 2026, that it had received an official response from the United States regarding its latest offer to end the war. The details of the response were not disclosed, but the timing suggests a possible acknowledgment or counter-proposal. The United States did not immediately comment on the matter, leaving the content of the response unclear. The announcement comes amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the conflict. Iran has been seeking a resolution to the war, while the United States has been cautious in its approach. The response from Washington could signal a willingness to engage in further talks or a refusal to compromise. Sources from AP News, The Nelson Mail, and Arab News all reported the same headline, though the details of the response remained unconfirmed. There are no significant divergences in the reporting among the sources. All three outlets cited the same headline and publication date, though the Arab News published its report a day later. The lack of additional details from the United States suggests that the response may be non-committal or that further negotiations are still in progress.
