Iranian Diplomat Accuses US of Distrust in Nuclear Talks, Thanks Russia for Uranium Proposal

The comments were made during a BRICS meeting in India. Araghchi also highlighted Iran's efforts to maintain a ceasefire with the US to resolve the conflict diplomatically. Iran expressed gratitude to Russia for its proposal to take enriched uranium, which Araghchi confirmed was discussed with Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting in Saint Petersburg. The Iranian diplomat emphasized that Iran is thankful for Russia's intention to help resolve the issue. Tehran says talks with the US are in deadlock and that it is grateful to Russia for its uranium proposal. Washington has not publicly responded to these claims, though the US has previously denied any intention to derail negotiations.
