Israel Launches Air Strikes on Southern Lebanon

Israeli air strikes targeted southern Lebanon on October 4, 2026, according to reports from Middle East Eye. The strikes were launched from Israeli airspace and hit areas near the border with Lebanon. The exact locations and number of targets were not specified. The attacks followed a series of rocket launches from Lebanon into Israeli territory earlier in the week. No immediate casualties were reported, but the strikes have heightened regional tensions. The Israeli military has not commented on the strikes, while Lebanese officials have called for restraint.
