Russia's state energy company Inter RAO confirmed it will maintain electricity imports and exports at the same level as 2025. The company supplied 1.4 billion kWh of electricity to Kazakhstan during the first five months of 2026, representing a 28% increase compared to the same period in 2025. The main export destinations for Russian electricity remain Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and Georgia, with supplies directed toward the southern direction, particularly to Georgia.
