Saudi Arabia Faces Limited Options Against Houthis as Allies Withdraw

Saudi Arabia, a central player in the ongoing conflict with the Houthis, has found itself isolated as its traditional allies have distanced themselves. The Houthis, backed by Iran, have continued their attacks on Saudi territory, prompting Saudi retaliation. With no significant international support, Saudi Arabia has been compelled to rely on its own resources, which are insufficient to achieve a decisive outcome. The lack of support from countries like the United States and the Gulf Cooperation Council has left Saudi Arabia in a precarious position. While the Houthis have maintained their operations, Saudi Arabia has struggled to respond effectively, leading to a stalemate. The situation has raised concerns about the stability of the region and the potential for further escalation. Sources indicate that Saudi Arabia has attempted to negotiate with the Houthis, but these efforts have been met with resistance. The absence of a broader coalition has made it difficult to enforce any agreements or impose sanctions. The conflict remains unresolved, with both sides continuing their respective strategies.
