Ukraine Sends Two Captured North Korean Soldiers to South Korea, Zelenskyy Announces
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine had sent two captured North Korean soldiers to South Korea. The move was part of a broader diplomatic effort to secure the release of Ukrainians held captive in Russia. The exchange was conditional on North Korea facilitating similar releases.
Ukraine transferred two North Korean soldiers to South Korea, according to Zelenskyy. The soldiers were captured during unspecified operations in the conflict with Russia. Zelenskyy stated that the transfer was intended to encourage North Korea to exchange Ukrainians held in Russia. The action was reported by multiple outlets, including The Hindu, Yonhap, and Al Arabiya.
