The International Maritime Organization’s Secretary-General confirmed the same, stating that 6,000 seafarers are adrift on 400 ships. U.S. authorities, however, claimed the Strait of Hormuz is open, a statement that directly contradicts the reports from the WHO and the International Maritime Organization.
