Iran Warns US Of 'Faster, Heavier, More Painful' Response As Hormuz Tensions Escalate

Iran's foreign ministry issued a statement on September 6, 2026, directly addressing the United States and warning of a more aggressive response. The statement was reported by multiple outlets, including WION and WIONews.com. The warning followed a series of military maneuvers and cyberattacks attributed to Iranian-backed groups, which the U.S. has condemned as destabilizing. Tehran says the U.S. has provoked Iran with its presence in the region and its support for Israel. Washington says Iran's actions threaten global energy security and regional stability.
