Russian troops liberate two communities in Ukraine operation over past day — top brass

Russian troops, according to the Defense Ministry of Russia, liberated two communities named Novodmitrovka in the Sumy Region and in the DPR. The operation was carried out by Battlegroup North and Battlegroup South units. The Defense Ministry reported that Battlegroup North inflicted more than 240 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed two enemy armored combat vehicles. Additionally, Russian forces struck energy infrastructure sites used by the Ukrainian army and enemy deployment areas over the past 24 hours.
