Turkish maritime expert Kozan Erkan stated that Ukrainian attacks between July 9 and 11 damaged or disabled around 50 vessels near Zmeiny Island in the Black Sea. The attacks, according to Erkan, pose a significant threat to energy security in the region. A top Russian diplomat, speaking on July 14, labeled Ukraine's actions in the Black Sea as 'pure terrorism' and claimed Ukraine is ready to team up 'with anyone' to do as much harm to Russia as possible.
